This pillow is small, but I like it. I use it to support my arthritic neck when taking naps on the sofa. It feels a little hollow and this was a surprise. I expected it to be more like my larger memory foam pillow as far as feeling solid, but it does give support. I would like to be able to purchase additional covers and can’t find covers listed.
We have all heard the warnings about DVT (deep-venous thrombosis) when traveling on long haul flights. Cramped conditions for hours on end with very little leg movement - yes I've seen the in-flight videos demonstrating the exercises. Well if these warnings concern you give a thought to astronauts!
They don't travel for hours in cramped conditions - they travel for weeks. Now I know these people are held as super-heroes but in the cold light of day they are only human and subject to the same frailties as you and I, but of course they have technology on their side.
Visco elastic material, now commonly known as memory foam, was originally developed by NASA to improve seating and absorb g-forces in spacecraft travel. Okay it maybe quite some time before your favorite airline offers memory foam seating in tourist class but you can still enjoy the benefits today.
Memory foam is designed to shape itself around any pressure applied - it reacts to the pressure and subsequent heat to absorb the pressure by spreading it across its surface. Now apply this thinking to your mattress. Your body isn't flat therefore when you sleep some body areas are more supported than others. We memory foam travel pillow have all woke up some morning feeling aches and pains and simply booked it to a bad nights sleep - which of course is probably right. But why? Picture yourself lying on your back - most of the direct contact will be your head, shoulders, rump and heels. Leaving your neck, lower back and to an extent your legs unsupported. It isn't any better on your front, gravity forces your lower back to arch even more and you can easily wake up with a stiff neck and painful lower back.
Memory foam has the ability to mould itself around your bumps and curves thus ensuring constant even support spread across your whole body. Hey and you don't have to worry about sleeping in the same position all the time - memory foam returns to its original shape when the pressure is released - so if you move it moves with you creating a unique combination of body-contouring support and comfort. Of course a restful sleep isn't the only benefit - you will soon feel the benefit of reduced pressure on the spine and joints, not to mention aiding good circulation - remember that's where we came in - DVT.
An added bonus to a memory foam mattress is that it is naturally hypoallergenic. Its surface structure offers little comfort to your other regular sleeping partners - dust mites.
As my Irish friend says "and there's more" - those clever memory foam guys haven't stopped at mattresses, heck no! These days you can buy all sorts of things incorporating memory foam. Sleep masks that contort to the shape of your face so that you don't need to endure a tourniquet tight elastic band around the back of your head just to block out the light. Memory foam slippers - whoa! luxury - like floating on air. I believe even the sneaker giants are looking at memory foam for your next pair of must have trainers. Memory foam furniture - cushions, chairs and sofas. Even Fido gets a look-in with his very own designer luxury sleeping mat made from memory foam. Of course the bed hasn't been forgotten in all this excitement apart from the memory foam mattress you can get memory foam pillows, mattress pads, and lots of other bits n pieces.
Okay but you only started reading this because your going on a long haul flight - well don't forget your memory foam travel pillow - its going to be a long flight and you may as well be comfortable.

Get a wax kit and wax your legs, underarms, face etc. before you go. You will probably be too busy to shave and this takes a little bit of worry away from your trip. 2.Cut and file your nails and toenails, and also put on a clear coat of polish. Your nails will be shiny and well groomed, but not overdone for camping. 3.Think simple at camp. The less products the better. For your face, get some foaming cloths or pads that you just have to run under water. Wash your face and moisturize with a light oil-free moisturizer with at least SPF 15. 4.Add a touch of concealer, some waterproof mascara and a dab of nude lip gloss; this should be all you need for make up while traveling. 5.Keep your eyebrows groomed. A tiny dab of Vaseline and a comb through with an old toothbrush will keep them in shape. Take care not to accidentally use the same toothbrush to brush your teeth after! 6.Think simple for your hair. You shouldn't be blow-drying your hair during the summer. Already the heat is drying out your hair and you don't want to totally dry it out by adding more heat. After you get out of the shower, spray your hair with a leave-in conditioner and comb, then towel dry. Rub in a dollop of anti-frizz or smoothing serum all over your hair, especially to the ends! Pull up your hair in a messy bun then let it air dry. 7.Moisturize your body. A lot. After you get out the shower, slather on a body lotion enriched with vitamin E. Rub on so

SleepRight Side Sleeping Memory Foam Pillow is the best!!!
The travel size is great for people who travel alot or are small of stature. The larger sizes would be right for larger people.
I was afraid it would be hot, like most foam products are, but this comes with a sheepskin cover that alleviates that.
I hope this never wears out, cause I don’t ever want another pillow. ;o)

I bought this item because I was tired of waking up with a stiff neck and even stiffer jaw. I am a die hard side sleeper and have purchased other items in the past, but I finally bit the bullet and spent some hard earned cash on this item…and I couldn’t be happier! I am 5′ tall so I was able to do just fine with this travel sized pillow. Watch those sizes, there are 2 different sizes for different heights, plus their travel-sized equivalents. On to the review:
I found the item quite dense initially, but it may be because I am new to memory foam. I actually threw the entire pillow and its case into a standard sized pillowcase just to keep clean. I went to bed and immediately understood how this works. The density is key. My shoulder has room to rest without creeping up to my head, but at the same time, my head has breathing space without squishing my face. And my neck is at a perfect height allowing my jaw to relax with perfect support due to that lip on the edge. I barely moved all night I was so comfortable. I woke up and had absolutely no stiffness in my neck, my face had no crease, my jaw was pain free, and I felt great! I don’t care how much this thing is now. I hope they never stop making it because I am taking it with me everywhere!
I love this pillow! I am by preference a stomach sleeper, but since that is not good for my neck, I have been trying to change to sleeping on my side. This pillow has made a huge difference. I find that I tend to stay in one position for much longer and seem to sleep better as well. This pillow together with an air mattress are making my sleep more restful. I would suggest adding a protective cover of some type to keep perspiration from reaching the foam since it cannot be washed. The zippered cover is a removable terry cloth like material which is washable. It’s worth the purchase price in my opinion.
this pillow is good for travel. I just throw it in the car and off I go. Help with neck pain. Would recommend.
I purchased this item because I am a Parkinson’s disease patient, and my medication causes me to fall asleep while in an easy chair, e.g. recliner, and I wake up with my head off to one side, or my chin on my chest, and have drooled on myself.
This item was intended to stop that problem. It is a well made, comfortable item, but the physical dimensions of my body, neck, chair and this pad did not fit together in a comfortable or workable combination. I offered giving it away, but nobody wanted it.
Then an event required me to take a ten hour drive in the back seat of my brother’s car. This pad was a life saver. It provided inconspicuous comfortable neck support and it was easy to sleep in the car. Coming and going. I am not about to give it away, anymore.
I realized relaxing in my favorite chair in front of TV was not traveling: this is a travel pillow. It provides good enough neck support it would be worth buying just to test the comfort. It may work well for you in both home and travel situations.

I travel to AsiaPac frequently and it’s nice to get some rest on the flts. I have tried every type of neck pillow and this one works very well. I can get some sleep and never wake up with a sore neck. It’s very lite and easy to pack and carry. I highly recommend you give it a try.
This helped me sleep on my last flight. It may look awkward but it works. My head didn’t bobble around and I had no aches after my nap. I like that it velcros right around my suitcase handle – easier for me to take along.
I love this neck collar. I travel a lot on cross country flights and I put this thing on and it doesn’t take me long at all to fall fast asleep. People sitting next to me frequently ask about it since they said I looked so comfortable sleeping. Once I took it off since I was done sleeping and then a while later I was tired and figured I would just try to sleep without the collar and I realized how difficult it was to get my neck comfortable once I started nodding off. It made me realize just how much better I did sleep with it on while on the flight. I highly recommend it. I have tried many neck and travel pillows and none of them have supported my head and neck so I could sleep comfortably like this one.

I normally toss and turn in search of that perfect plane sleeping position..
Never found one till now. However, with the collar I actually woke up rested and without a screaming neck and back ache.

Love this little memory foam pillow. Great for the airplane and car…like you know, when you fall asleep and your head dangles into no man’s land. This little bugger keeps my head in place. And it packs into a tiny little black bag that I slip into my backpack. Just went on a trip to Mexico with my sister and she had had some shoulder surgery and used it at night to prop her shoulder. GREAT product.
This is a nice pillow. This pillow is a great item to have when traveling. I like how it comes with it’s own bag that you can roll the pillow into. It may take a few times to get it in there just right, but it makes it small. I also like how the bag itself has a clip on it, so I can just clip it to my backpack and not have it take up room in my bag. This pillow did come with a little bit of a smell, but I have aired it out a few days, and it is fine now. It isn’t as nice as the real memory foam pillows, but those cost $80 or more. It does mold to your head, or back and it feels nice to lay on, and doesn’t go all flat like some imitations do.It does come in a pillow case, but I made a pillow case for it out of some material, sice the case does seem to attract dirt to it, though you can put it in the wash (the case only). When I am on vacation I don’t have means or time to wash it much, so the material pillow case is perfect. It is a soft pillow case on it though, and the pillow is a great buy! I plan on using it more during this summer. It will be used on the plane and at the campsite!
Got this for my trip to the east coast and found it super comfortable. The Virgin America plane had comfortable seats but the headrest wasn’t, so this came in pretty handy.
What I didn’t like was that the little travel case that comes with this is a tad too small and rolling and packing the pillow into it could have been made a little easier. However, the pillow retains original shape after unrolling so it doesn’t harm the product as such.
The worst part: I accidentally left mine in the cab on the way back home.
If you’re buying your own travel pillow so you don’t have to use the hotel’s nasty germy pillows, look elsewhere…
The main thing is that this is not a dense memory foam, so under the weight of an average head, this pillow mashes down to nothing which means no support – you’re basically lying on the bed without a pillow. Side sleepers, like me, should beware of this product! Unless you want to be lying on your arm (which will cause your arm to be numb after a while, and can cause shoulder damage), you really don’t want to even entertain the notion of buying this pillow. And I’m also not sure how they get 4.5 inches thick at it’s thickest. I measured mine and it was 3/4 inches less than that for a total of 3.75 inches at it’s thickest spot lying flat.
My toddler son will love this pillow so I’ve kept it. But this is certainly not for those of us who have neck problems, not for side sleepers and not for people who need a lot of head and neck support during the night.
