I ordered this mattress topper to put on my hard-as-a-rock futon mattress in my guest bedroom. My mattress alone is nearly impossible to sleep on, but this topper makes it much softer and more comfortable. I wouldn’t mind sleeping on this mattress now! I decided to purchase this particular topper because of the other positive reviews and its reasonable price and I am not disappointed. For its thickness (mine measures exactly 1.5 inches thick) it really improves the feel of my mattress by a large factor. It had a bit of a chemical smell when I unwrapped it but I let it sit all rolled out for a few hours and I hardly notice it now. When I press my hand into the topper, it holds the shape for a moment before puffing back out, but it puffs out more quickly than the brand name memory foam mattresses that they advertise on tv. This does not matter to me but I thought I’d include this detail if it matters so someone else. What matters most to me is this thing has really improved the comfort of my guest mattress. I would gladly purchase this mattress topper again and would recommend it to anyone.

I am a mattress salesman so I get great deals on the biggest mattresses- sometimes even free.
I have a small apartment thought- I have a california king I won thats really nice (one of those memory foam ones) I think if I put it in my bedroom it takes up too much space
but what if I put the king size in the bedroom queen size memory foam mattress and got a nice bed frame like one of those modern leather ones and used my cal king like a couch? and then got a queen for the bedroom- or I could use the bedroom as an office
It could look good depending on the bed- or it could look kinda dumb- but I would have the most comfortable couch on the block :-)
What do you guys think???

For several years I’ve been sleeping on a wonderfully comfortable 2″ temperature foam mattress topper that I ordered from QVC. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. My only complaint is that I wake up in the middle of the night sweating.
So when I was replacing my mattress set, I decided to see if there were any cooler foam pads out there. I did some research and settled on the Aerus brand. When I was ordering my new mattress set, the sales manager warned me that sleeping on a new mattress that wasn’t broken in yet, could be uncomfortable for the first few weeks. Well, I put my new Aerus foam topper on it, and slept like a baby the very first night. I haven’t been waking up hot and sweaty at night, and am hoping this continues into the winter when I use more covers. Ironically, the winter was when my previous topper seemed to make me sweat even more. I do have to say that the Aerus isn’t as dense as my other temperature foam pad, and I do prefer the more dense feel. When I’m climbing into bed to read, I feel like it’s like trying to move around in sand, definitely not as easy to maneuver. But once I lay down, it’s very comfortable, and I’m sleeping great. I’ve got the sleeping on a cloud feeling without the excessive heat. What more can you ask for!

This was a good purchase, however, next time I would go with a thicker pad as we used this on a camping trip and in between matressess. Was cooler than tempurpedic foam but not truly cool. Get the King if you have a queen sized bed/space as it is really a queen size. Knit cover is very nice although a bit difficult to put on so get another pair of hands to help.
I purchased this topper for my toddler son’s full size bed. His mattress is very firm, and I end up sleeping next to him part of the night most nights. Every day I’d wake up stiff and sore. After researching dozens of memory foam toppers, I selected the Foamex Aerus 2″ cooler sleep topper with velour cover. The Foamex Web site says their foam has better airflow and captures less heat than other foam.
Topper arrived yesterday — and I love it already! The full size completely covers the bed (some toppers are cut smaller). The white cover, once washed, is very soft and a perfect fit. The 3 sided zipper makes it easy to insert the topper. The foam is a pale blue-green due to a special eco-friendly manufacturing process. It had almost zero odor, so I was able to put it on the bed right away. This particular topper has a 3 lb density.
I slept great last night (and my son is still sleeping!) — this topper really transformed the bed. It may now be as comfy as our $1700 Heavenly Bed (which hopefully I’ll get to spend more time in one day soon). Highly recommended!
I purchased this topper because I recently needed to start sleeping exclusively on my back and was finding my matress to be very uncomfortable. I did a ton of research before finally chosing this one. I’m so glad I did. I have been able to sleep through the night completly, and so comfortably! This topper is well worth the price I paid. It has a nice 3lb density, making it softly supportive and comfy. We have a hard to fit king matress, and this topper actually fit it. Unlike many foam toppers this one does not trap heat, so we stay comfortable, temperature wise, through the night. I’m super sensative to smells, and this topper lost its new foam smell after sitting out for about 2 days. I don’t smell it at all now. It comes with a nice pad cover too! It was a tiny bit hard to get on, it required two of us to do, but once on it fit nicely. What finally cinched the deal is the fact that this topper is manufactured with more envrio-friendly materials, and by a low emissions process. I absolutely recommend this topper for anyone who is looking to improve the comfort of their current matress and the quality of their sleep.
I am so glad that I brought this. It’s well worth it for the amount of money that I paid. I would definitely recommend this to everyone simply because it feels really nice on the bed.
This thing STINKS! My husband put it on the bed the first night (big mistake) and I was high within a few seconds. It only took about a week to ari out so that was nice.
I love also that it doesn’t hold heat like most temperpedic toppers. When I move in my sleep I always move to a cool spot and even if I move right back in a few minutes it’s cool.
Might have liked a little thicker but this is great.
I recently purchased this for college in the fall, because the dorm mattresses are very hard. I decided to splurge a little from the traditional egg crate topper, and try out memory foam instead. I am SO glad I did!
Even though I bought the twin size for my dorm bunk, I’ve already been using it on my full sized mattress since my body produces too much of a chemical and I don’t move around in my sleep, so I don’t fall off of it. Because I don’t move around in my sleep, I always wake up very stiff and usually have an aching back, and I’m only 18! This memory foam mattress pad is MAGIC! Since I have gotten in, I have not woken up in the morning with a backache. Also, the thickness is very nice, and I never feel like the foam is completely compressed and I’m feeling my mattress below. Granted, I’m only 95 lbs and 5′1 so I’m not sure if this would hold true to everyone.
The foam does smell a little at first, but that smell dissapates over a few days. Make sure you follow the included instructions and properly let the foam expand! I laid mine out for about a day before using it.
I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS, ESPECIALLY FOR ANYONE WITH BACK ISSUES!
Look, this is inexpensive memory foam. Having purchased enough of the stuff I can say that it is great for the reason I purchased it. People need to understand that his is NOT the best memory foam. As stated by someone else, it is approximately 3.3 pound density. And because I was not willing to spend a lot on a mattress pad for a guest room at my Parent’s house ( I am in this bed maybe 10 times a year) it will do nicely. The bed in question currently has an insufficient egg shell foam pad that will greatly be enhanced with this current pad. If you want to buy a pad for a bed that has no padding, that you sleep on every night…this may not be for you. For that you need 5.5 pound density and you will pay anywhere between $79 and $119 not including delivery for that. You also need at least 2 inches. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure people find this product great compared to nothing and it is…but for a little bit more money, you should pay more for something as important as a good night’s rest. I do take issue with the people who say that this foam is terrible, as it is not.
The dimensions of the piece I received today are accurate and the smell is very minor in comparison to what I have run into in the past.
Lastly, it is just a fact of life that foam manufacturers go out of their way NOT to tell you the actual density. On sale here at Amazon is a product that markets itself as 5.5, leading you to believe that is the density when it isn’t. With this product you can figure it out by multiplying the dimensions of the pad, then divide tht by 1728 to get the cubic footage. Then divide that result into the weight.
But, for $40 and no delivery? A good deal as an enhancer to less than adequate padding already in place.
